“ Such a gem! We ordered a sampler plate and it was enough to share between two. The meat is fresh, juicy, and flavorful. My fave is also the chili! Great customer service as well. The servers always make sure youre taken care of. Cant wait to come back! ”
“ Chicken In A Barrel BBQ is located in the plaza with Whole Foods. Its the only restaurant open until 9 PM on Thanksgiving, and many have praised their roasted chicken. For BBQ, we ordered items 2 pictured in the middle of image 1 and 4 pictured at the bottom of image 1. The menu is shown in image 3, and the prices are quite reasonable. The roasted chicken has a strong smoky flavor that everyone loved. The chicken skin is delicious, and the chicken meat can be dipped in sauce for extra flavor. The vegetable salad was average, but our friends ordered two HawaiianClassic Burgers with fries, which were absolutely amazing. It also seems like their beer and tacos are quite popular too! ”
“ Ribs are tender and an amazing amount of flavors ! The Chili has a perfect Kik!! The corn bread is bussin Mac salad is good served cold just the way I like it... We both got the sampler!! Great choice !! House maid bbque sauce is pulled pork and pulled beef was good aswell...I could taste the smoke flavors in the chicken ,pork and beef.. ”
“ First time here and was wowd! There were two local artists performing oldies live that sounded great. It made the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. Order the Chicken and Rib plate with the chili, and subbed the brown rice for macaroni salad. Also ordered a side of sweet potato fries! The ribs and chicken were delicious! My favorite was the chicken, but I do prefer chicken over other meats. Both were incredibly fall off the bone tender! I also loved the sweet potato fries, so next time Ill order the chicken and sweet potato fries! I saved the corn bread and chili for later. ”
“ Great location with plenty of parking hard with Whole Foods. The doors to the restaurant were open to allow fresh air from the adjoined outdoor seating. Many options of beers and cider on tap where you can pay by the ounce. Food was described as American BBQ with a Hawaiian influence. Loved the chicken great flavor, ribs good smoke. Sides of chili, coleslaw, and cornbread were on point. Recommend! ”
“ Delicious bbq! We actually tried the original chicken in a barrel in Hawaii and this place is wayyy better sorry!. The meats were super juicy, and the sides were yummy as well. My fav was the burger and the ribssoooo juicy and tender. Flavors were balanced not too salty, not too sweet. And the service was friendly. What a lovely addition to the South Lake Tahoe food scene. Definitely will be coming back. ”

“ This is by far the best smoke BBQ in the area hands down. Wood smoked chicken was the best we have ever had, great smoke flavor and moist every bite. Ribs were smoked perfectly and their house made sauces were a perfect compliment. This our go to for BBQ from now on ”
